Am I eligible?
Criteria for seniors to become residents are that you qualify at or under the low-income level established; are functioning independently; and, are willing to participate in a five-person, single-family home community.
How much will my rent be?
Your rent will be 30% of your documented monthly income.
Do I pay for utilities?
No, all utilities are included in addition to free cable TV and laundry facilities.
May I furnish my own room and come and go as I please?
Yes. You have a private room and you make your own decisions, as in any rental situation.
Do I get to cook my own food?
Yes, each person purchases their own food and cooks their own meals in the large kitchen of any of our houses.
Will I have my own private bedroom?
Yes.
Will I have to share a bathroom?
Yes, with at least one other person.
Is there storage available?
Storage is limited to what each person safely can store in your own bedroom area as well as an assigned space designated for storage in the garage.
Are the houses shared by both men and women?
Yes.
May I have my own telephone in my own room?
Yes, each room is wired for a private telephone line. Each resident can ask the phone company to assign them their own private phone number and bill them directly.
May I have a pet?
No.
May family and friends visit me?
Yes, we encourage you to maintain and strengthen your connections with family and friends.
Are there laundry facilities on-site?
Yes. These are at no cost to residents.
May I have my own television or computer in my room?
Yes. Cable for television is provided at no cost to residents. If you wish to access internet services on your computer, you will need to set up your own DSL or dial-up connection.
May I smoke?
No, not in the house.
